Senior Accountant

Your tasks

• Take full ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial records. • Manage and review Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), supplier and customer balances, payments, and outstanding obligations. • Monitor and control production and project-related costs, ensuring all expenses are accurately allocated to the relevant project or department. • Prepare and analyze project budgets, costs, profitability, and Budget vs. Actual performance. • Prepare clear and accurate financial and management reports, including variance analysis, cash position, liabilities, and key financial risks to support management decision-making. • Monitor cash flow, upcoming financial commitments, supplier payments, and urgent financial requirements. • Manage UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, tax invoices, and other accounting and tax compliance requirements. • Work closely with Production, Procurement, Operations, HR, and Management to ensure proper financial control across projects and business activities. • Coordinate with banks, suppliers, auditors, and other external parties. • Continuously review and improve accounting processes, internal controls, reporting systems, and financial procedures.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of practical accounting experience, with the full required experience gained within the UAE. • Strong hands-on experience in the UAE Media and Production industry is required. • Proven experience in project accounting, production costing, budgeting, cost control, and project profitability analysis. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and applicable accounting and financial regulations. • Ability to independently review financial information, identify discrepancies or financial risks, and take appropriate corrective action. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial analysis, and management reporting. • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent is highly preferred. • Valid UAE Driving License and own car are required.
