Intermediate Auditor
One will be working as a key part of the audit division, reporting to but also working closely with the senior auditor and audit director, running audits from planning to completion while also training on the job. Duties will include but not be limited to;
Working remotely on the audits for a variety of clients including large private, NFP’s and foreign subsidiaries;
Taking charge of audit files and ensuring deadlines are met;
Planning of audits right through to completion and sign off by the Director;
Preparing audit files and working papers for completion;
Communicating with the audit team and clients, where required;
Addressing technical issues and assisting in the preparation of research papers;
Evaluating audit results and material misstatements;
Providing feedback reports on progress updates and significant findings;
Adhering to the independence and ethical requirements of each engagement, and keeping client information confidential;
Evaluating financial statements for compliance with accounting standards;
Ad-hoc advisory work when required (due diligence etc);
Typical background experience and qualities we seek:
Experience in modern cloud accounting software (MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks, SAASU) will be highly regarded
CPA qualified with at least 2 years of working experience
At least 1-2 years (Auditor 1) or 3-5 years (Auditor 2) of Audit experience necessary
Experience in Australian accounting and its multi-client service environment is a plus.
Can demonstrate ability to engage with clients – mainly through e-mail
Eager to learn & develop professionally
