JOIN OUR TEAM

As a Head of Customisable Furniture , you’ll take ownership of building a brand-new category from the ground up, shaping its product strategy, assortment, and go-to-market approach within the Westwing Collection. You’ll combine strong product management skills and design judgement with commercial ownership to turn a greenfield opportunity into a scalable, profitable category, in line with Westwing’s sustainability standards, and own stakeholder management across the company to ensure a successful launch. This position is permanent and located in Munich .

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the end-to-end strategy for the customisable storage furniture category, from market opportunity and business case to assortment planning and launch
  • Together with design and engineering, define the product vision and modular system architecture, balancing premium aesthetics, configurability, and manufacturability with cost targets
  • In partnership with tech, support the customer-facing customisation experience (e.g. configurators, visual previews), ensuring complexity is simple to shop
  • Build and lead a cross-functional process (interacting with design, engineering, product development, buying, marketing, tech, and retail) to bring the category to life
  • Drive P&L responsibility for the category, setting pricing, margin, and growth targets and tracking performance post-launch in line with company guidelines
  • Act as the internal and external face of the category, aligning stakeholders across design, commercial, marketing, and supply chain
  • Continuously scan market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to evolve the category roadmap

YOU COME WITH

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, ideally with exposure to modular, customisable, or configurable physical products
  • Proven track record of launching a new product category or business line from concept to market
  • Understanding of modular product logic, configuration rules, component variation, and how BOM complexity translates into manufacturability and fulfilment
  • First leadership experience, with the ability to operate in and align a cross-functional team
  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in building a P&L and making trade-offs between design ambition and unit economics
  • Understanding of furniture materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain constraints for modular systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate strategy into a compelling product story as well as a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset tailored to a fast-paced, international environment
  • Fluency in English
