A high-performing independent healthcare organisation is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its Finance team and play a central role in driving operational, clinical, and commercial performance. This is a visible, relationship-led role supporting senior leaders across multiple departments, ensuring financial insight, challenge, and forward planning are embedded into day-to-day decision-making.

Working closely with operational and clinical teams, you’ll shape business cases, support service changes, and help the organisation plan and deliver sustainable growth. The role suits a confident, proactive finance professional who enjoys being on site, influencing decisions, and translating complex financial concepts into clear, actionable guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Owning financials for key operational departments, helping leaders understand results, KPIs, and variances, and driving actions to stay on plan.
  • Identifying revenue opportunities, cost efficiencies, and operational improvements, challenging constructively and supporting informed decision-making.
  • Working with clinical teams to model activity, throughput, case mix, and service changes.
  • Leading financial appraisal for new services, capital proposals, and staffing initiatives, ensuring assumptions, risks, and dependencies are fully understood.
  • Contributing to cross-functional projects, tracking financial impacts, and ensuring systems and processes are ready ahead of go-live.
  • Delivering sessions to operational and clinical colleagues and presenting at staff inductions.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant with strong business partnering experience in a Private Healthcare organisation
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced Excel capability with proven modelling and business case experience.
  • A proactive, visible, and collaborative approach with confidence influencing senior colleagues.
  • A mindset of continuous improvement and a strong sense of ownership for outcomes.
