Office Engineer
- Filing & Archive System
– Own the OneDrive filing structure for all company proposals, tenders, and project documentation. – Maintain the hardcopy archive for all proposals and project docs, physical filing, indexing, and retrieval. – Enforce UFTRA naming conventions on every file that enters the archive (digital or physical). – Maintain the master index of proposals and projects, cross-referenced between OneDrive and hardcopy. – Always keep both digital and physical archives audit-ready.
- Technical Design & Documentation
– Produce engineering drawings, schematics, and technical calculations for projects and proposals. – Ensure design compliance with IEC, EEHC and client specifications. – Prepare revised drawings when project conditions change; issue As-Built drawings for handover.
- Proposal & Tender Preparation
– Write the technical sections of proposals and tenders including methodology, scope, and work plans. – Build compliance matrix mapping every client requirement to the proposed solution. – Coordinate submission packages including technical, commercial, and attachments.
- BOM & BOQ Preparation
– Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for every technical proposal and project. – Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity take-offs where the tender format requires. – Reconcile delivered items back to the original BOM after project completion.
- RFQ Preparation & Supplier Technical Evaluation
– Write RFQs with clear, complete, and accurate technical specifications. – Evaluate supplier technical responses for compliance, quality, and alignment with design. – Recommend technically compliant suppliers to Procurement for commercial negotiation.
- Quotation Pricing Support
– Feed accurate technical cost inputs to the commercial team so quotations are grounded in real specs. – Flag technical risks that could change the price during execution.
- Cross-Project Standards & Templates
– Build and maintain UFTRA's internal library of technical specs, standard drawings, and template BOMs. – Develop standard clauses for recurring tender types. – Continuously improve reusability.
- SolidWorks Sheet Metal Enclosure Design
– Designing metal enclosures and structural assemblies for CNC laser machines using SolidWorks. – Experience should include 3D modeling, sheet metal design, fabrication drawings, flat-pattern development, and manufacturable assembly design.
– Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) from a recognized university. – Fresh graduate to 2 years of experience. – Working knowledge of SolidWorks, including 3D modeling and sheet metal design. – Ability to read and produce engineering drawings and technical schematics. – Strong command of MS Excel for BOM/BOQ preparation and data organization. – Familiarity with IEC and EEHC standards is a plus. – Exposure to fabrication drawings, flat-pattern development, or CNC-related design (university/graduation project experience counts). – Good written English.
