Job Title: Show Crowd Control Contract Period: August 21st - September 7th, 2026Pay Rate: $17.60 / hr 

ABOUT US  Looking for a summer job that’s fun, by the waterfront and gets you access to one of Toronto’s most iconic events? Come join our team at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE)! 

The CNE, often affectionately referred to as The Ex, is Canada’s largest community event and one of the top ten agricultural fairs in North America, attracting approximately 1.6 million visitors annually over the course of its 18-day run. With something for everyone, the CNE offers a wide range of attractions and interactive entertainment experiences including: concerts, midway rides and games, shopping, exhibits, tech and gaming hubs, food and wacky treats!

Responsibilities Provide directions to guests who are attending the SuperDogs shows. Shows take place 3 to 5 times daily.

Show guests where they can leave wagons and strollers.

Inform guests when the current show is full in a firm and polite manner. Encourage guests to attend the next show and/or experience other activities at the CNE.

Ensure that program areas are properly maintained and presentable at all times.

Coordinate with the SuperDogs show staff.

Answer basic questions from the general public regarding programming, attractions, facilities and services.

Required Qualifications Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years

Available to work all 18 days of the fair

Available to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends

Able to attend Mandatory Orientation Session

Special Conditions Must be comfortable working in a busy and fast-paced environment

Must be able to remain calm and professional when communicating with frustrated guests and guests who have complaints

Ability to stand or remain in stationary position for long periods of time

Located in a busy area; constant interruptions

Must be comfortable working in the presences of animals

Required to dress in appropriate uniform
