Estimation And Tendering Manager
Job Purpose: Lead the estimation and tendering functions and ensure accurate, competitive, and commercially sound cost estimates for construction projects and tenders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and review of project cost estimates and tenders.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of work, and contractual requirements.
- Develop accurate quantities, rates, labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and indirect cost estimates.
- Coordinate with Civil, Architectural, MEP, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations.
- Develop tender budgets and cost breakdowns.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmark material and subcontractor prices.
- Identify commercial risks, exclusions, assumptions, and opportunities.
- Review tender submissions and ensure accuracy before final submission.
- Maintain estimation databases, historical costs, and pricing benchmarks.
- Lead and develop the estimation team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- 15-20 years of construction estimation experience.
- Strong experience in major construction tenders and projects.
- Excellent knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, construction methods, and cost estimation.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
- Experience with Estimation tools.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and commercial skills.
