Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous Dietary Coordinator or Supervisor experience in a skilled nursing, intermediate care, memory care or long-term care setting preferred.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of state and federal healthcare dietary regulations.
Ability to interact with a multitude of various personalities and respond with patience, concern and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities and Scope: Supervises Dietary Aide staff.
Comply with production, handling, and quality food standards related to patient food and clinical nutrition areas.
Oversee and assist with meal preparation and service based on established menus, regulations, established policies, procedures and best practices.
Comply with dietary restrictions on special or modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations based on current diet manual.
Supports quality assurance through audits, in-services, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Maintains a safe, clean, and efficient work environment for residents and staff.
Monitors patient diet updates, patient allergens, food production, and meal service procedures.
Assist patients and provide friendly, personalized service.
