Drafter

Job Summary

Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models based on design specifications and site measurements. Develop and update construction, fabrication, shop, and as-built drawings while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with project standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D models from design specifications, sketches, site measurements, and engineering requirements
• Develop construction, fabrication, shop, and as-built drawings for projects
• Modify and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, clients, and consultants
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, relevant standards, and company requirements
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, M&E, and other relevant disciplines to ensure integration
• Assist project and engineering teams with drawing preparation, documentation, and technical submissions
• Conduct site measurements and prepare drawings reflecting actual site conditions as needed
• Maintain revision control and issue the latest drawings to relevant parties
• Organize and maintain drawing files, CAD files, and project documentation systematically
• Liaise with site personnel, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve drawing and technical issues
• Perform additional drafting and technical duties assigned by the Project Manager or Engineer

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a related field
• Proficient in AutoCAD for producing and modifying technical drawings
• Ability to read and interpret technical, construction, and engineering drawings accurately
• Strong understanding of dimensions, scale, drawing standards, and technical details
• Attention to detail and accuracy in drawing production
• Effective communication and coordination skills to collaborate with project teams
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge of Revit, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or other CAD/BIM software to enhance drawing capabilities
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant drafting experience; fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge are also considered
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team environment

Working Conditions

• Full-time position based in Singapore
• Working hours: Monday to Saturday or as per project requirements
