Steel Fabrication Equipment Operator

Metal Fabrication Machine Operator Location: Cocoa Beach, FL Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Shift: 1st Shift Starting Pay: From $27.00/hour, with higher pay available based on experience. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Machine Operator to join a manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and form metal components while ensuring quality workmanship and a safe work environment.

Primary Duties Set up and operate press brakes, shears, and other metal fabrication equipment.

Cut, bend, and form structural steel and miscellaneous metal components according to production requirements.

Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, shop prints, and work orders.

Measure, mark, and lay out materials using tape measures, squares, levels, and other precision measuring tools.

Inspect completed parts to verify dimensions, quality, and compliance with specifications.

Transport materials and finished products throughout the shop using forklifts and overhead cranes.

Keep equipment and work areas clean while following established safety procedures.

Report equipment issues or material concerns that may affect production or quality.

Qualifications Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience operating press brakes, shears, or similar metal fabrication equipment.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication documents.

Experience working with structural steel or miscellaneous metal fabrication.

Skilled in measuring, material layout, and the use of precision hand tools.

Forklift and overhead crane operating experience is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
