Process Engineer
About the company
PT Handa Teknologi Indonesia is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our team in the water and wastewater treatment construction industry.
Your tasks
- Design and develop water and wastewater treatment processes (WTP/WWTP) based on project requirements and applicable technical standards.
- Perform process design calculations, including treatment capacity, hydraulic calculations, chemical consumption, and equipment sizing.
- Prepare and review engineering documents, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Process Descriptions, and technical specifications.
- Evaluate water and wastewater characteristics and determine appropriate treatment technologies.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project teams, clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure technical compliance with project requirements.
- Provide technical support during project execution, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct process evaluation and troubleshooting to optimize system performance and ensure treated water meets applicable quality standards.
- Prepare technical proposals, reports, and other engineering documents to support project tenders and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (S1) in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Process Engineering, particularly in water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Strong understanding of WTP/WWTP treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment.
- Experienced in process design calculations, equipment sizing, and preparation of engineering documents.
- Familiar with PFD, P&ID, and technical specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Willing to visit project sites as required.
