MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. And we’ve come a long way since. Today we’re a 400 + strong team (we’re thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes – from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair. 

Our global HQ is in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you’ll find us in Boston, MA, as well as East Providence, RI and Denver, CO and now in Cape Town South Africa!

The Customer Design team, a branch of the MOO Creative Department, is a group of highly talented and efficient graphic designers primarily tasked with servicing our valuable Business Customers. This is an exciting opportunity in our Cape Town hub for an mid level graphic designer who can produce high-quality, impactful layouts that capture and promote our Business Customers' vision under tight deadlines. This role requires organization, collaboration, creativity and a keen eye for detail, all executed with clear communication amongst internal stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities Create bespoke designs for MOO Business Customers across our full product range that exhibit an adherence to brand guidelines and production specifications

Effectively communicate with Sales, Production and Customer Success to troubleshoot and complete design requests

Collaborate with cross-functional partners to produce eye-catching design work for external partnerships and internal MOO-branded resources

Ability to quality check and spot on screen file issues to problem solve any customer print and/or design issues

Consistently meet strict turnaround times on all assignments

Note that these hours are 2-11PM to support customers in the US market

About You Proven knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

Proficient retouching skills - ability to incorporate changes on raw files

Proficient presentation skills - ability to both build presentations and present to our internal and external customers

Fanatical about the smallest of details

Demonstrated digital print knowledge and experience working with digital presses including foil and UV printing

The ability to read, understand and question a brief to deliver exceptional work

Knowledge of typography and best practices for kerning, leading, tracking and font management

Knowledge and awareness of current design and technology trends and how to apply them to customer design work

An appreciation of creative standards and design best practices

Excellent time management skills, independently balancing immediate needs with longer-term projects

Passionate about people – customers and internal stakeholders, alike

The ability to give and receive constructive feedback to effectively complete design requests

Passion for inspiring and mentoring a team, encouraging experimentation of new styles, tools, and processes

Empowers the team, does not micromanage

Self-motivated and a team player

Ability and willingness to adapt to and champion change

Relevant design degree or equivalent experience in an artworking role

Portfolio required - examples of AI tool usage, a plus

Nice to Have Customer service experience preferred
