Structural Professional Engineer
Key Responsibilities Serve as the Structural PE for all structural steel engineering activities
Review and approve structural steel connection designs, calculations, shop drawings, and engineering documents
Coordinate with the Engineer of Record (EOR), client, general contractor, fabricator, design subcontractor, and detailers
Review Tekla models and shop drawings to ensure engineering compliance
Resolve RFIs and technical queries related to structural steel
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and project specifications
Support fabrication and construction teams with practical engineering solutions
Review temporary condition calculations where required
Participate in coordination meetings with project stakeholders
Qualifications Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in New York State preferred, or ability to obtain NY reciprocity
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering
Minimum 15 years of structural engineering experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in structural steel design
Experience on large industrial, semiconductor, data center, or manufacturing facility projects
Strong knowledge of AISC 360, AISC 341, AWS D1.1, AISC Code of Standard Practice, ASCE 7, OSHA temporary stability requirements, and LRFD/ASD design methods
Experience with fast-track EPC projects
Experience working with international fabrication teams
Familiarity with BIM workflows
Proficiency with Tekla Structures, SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro
Experience with seismic steel design
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Valid work authorization in the U.S
