Accountabilities: As a MIG Claims Advisor, you will manage accident benefit claims from investigation through resolution, ensuring compliance with legislation while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining accurate claim documentation.

Investigate and assess Minor Injury Guideline (MIG) accident benefit claims to determine coverage eligibility and appropriate claim outcomes.

Evaluate medical rehabilitation, disability, and related accident benefit claims in accordance with applicable insurance legislation and internal guidelines.

Coordinate claim activities with claimants, legal representatives, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely resolutions.

Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date electronic claim files, ensuring complete documentation throughout the claims lifecycle.

Respond promptly to correspondence, accident benefit forms, and customer inquiries while meeting regulatory timelines and service expectations.

Identify issues, evaluate supporting documentation, and recommend appropriate claim decisions based on policy coverage and legislative requirements.

Support departmental objectives by contributing to process improvements and performing additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines insurance claims expertise with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced remote environment.

Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

1–2 years of experience in insurance claims adjusting or a related claims role.

Experience in accident benefits claims handling is preferred.

Background in a medical or legal environment is considered an asset.

Enrollment in or completion of the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is preferred.

Strong knowledge of claims investigation, evaluation, and documentation practices.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first approach.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Ability to work independently while collaborating successfully within a remote team environment.
