Shape and deliver the next generation of privacy-first product capabilities that can materially impact Matomo’s future. You will work closely with the CTO, CPO, Product Manager, and engineering teams to take ideas from exploration through to MVPs, product releases, and scalable long-term initiatives.

About Innocraft & Matomo Matomo is an open-source analytics platform trusted by enterprises, public institutions, and governments requiring full data ownership. We are expanding our European product team and looking for a Senior Product Owner who wants to help shape and validate the future direction of Matomo’s product offering through innovation-focused product development.

What You Will Own Product Strategy & Discovery

Work closely with the CTO/CPO and Product Manager to shape and refine product direction

Translate strategic ideas into clear product opportunities, bets, and deliverables

Lead discovery efforts, combining customer insight, product understanding, and data where appropriate

Make informed calls on what to pursue, iterate, pause, or stop

Delivery & Product Execution

Drive delivery across a range of work types:

Early-stage experiments and proof of concepts

MVPs and initial product releases

More developed features requiring sustained iteration

Break down complex ideas into clear, iterative deliverables

Create lean product briefs, user flows, and wireframes to align teams quickly

Ensure successful initiatives are positioned for handoff to other teams when appropriate

Collaboration & Product Operations

Collaborate day-to-day with the Engineering Manager and engineers to explore solutions and manage trade-offs

Own and actively manage the team’s backlog, ensuring:

Clear prioritisation aligned to strategic direction and current bets

Work is well-defined, appropriately scoped, and ready for development

Continuous grooming and refinement as priorities evolve

Maintain momentum and clarity across ambiguous and evolving problem spaces

What You Will Bring Requirements

4–6+ years experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a B2B SaaS or technical product environment

Proven ability to work across both discovery and delivery

Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on technically complex products

Demonstrated ability to translate high-level ideas into actionable product increments

Experience creating user flows, wireframes, or early-stage product concepts

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Strong Signals

Degree in a numerate or technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)

Experience working on analytics platforms, tracking technologies, or data-heavy products

Experience with AI/ML solutions in a SaaS product

Familiarity with privacy, compliance, or EU regulatory environments (e.g. GDPR, ePrivacy)

Experience working in innovation-focused or exploratory product teams

Proficiency in using AI-accelerated techniques within product development, including:

Rapid ideation and exploration of product concepts

Drafting product briefs, user flows, and specifications

Analysing customer feedback or usage data

Increasing speed and quality of iteration and decision-making
