Senior Maintenance Engineer
The Senior Maintenance Engineer is responsible for leading all maintenance operations related to pump systems and associated equipment. The role ensures high equipment reliability, fast response to breakdowns, and effective management of the service team. Key Duties Include: Lead and supervise maintenance engineers and technicians
Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs
Respond to emergency breakdowns and ensure fast technical solutions
Diagnose mechanical faults (bearings, seals, vibration, alignment, etc.)
Identify basic electrical issues related to motors, control panels, and starters
Monitor equipment performance and reduce recurring failures
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with the purchasing department
Prepare technical reports including failure analysis and maintenance costs
Support installation, commissioning, and after-sales service when required
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
Coordinate with the sales and projects teams to support customer needs
Train and guide junior technicians to improve technical performance
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field Minimum 2-5 years of experience in maintenance of pumps or rotating equipment Experience in industrial, agricultural, or firefighting pump systems is highly preferred Technical Skills Strong knowledge of centrifugal and submersible pump systems
Solid understanding of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
Basic knowledge of electrical systems related to motors and control panels
Experience in preventive maintenance planning
Ability to read technical manuals and mechanical drawings
Management & Soft Skills Strong leadership and team management skills
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent breakdowns
Good communication skills with clients and internal teams
Strong organizational and reporting skills
Additional Advantages Experience with generator maintenance
Experience with solar pumping systems
Familiarity with ERP or maintenance management systems
