Solution Architect - Shape the architecture of tomorrow’s railway technology

From our base in Ballerup, we develop intelligent railway solutions that help operators run trains more efficiently, reliably and sustainably. We are now strengthening Cubris’ position as a technology competence centre around our GreenSpeed® platform – and we are looking for a Solution Architect who can connect the dots between Product, customers and Engineering. This is not an architecture role where you sit at a distance from the product. You will be involved from the early stages of an initiative: understanding the business need, challenging requirements, assessing feasibility and risks, and translating that into a solution architecture that engineering teams can implement. What you will do You will: Lead larger initiatives from idea and requirements through solution design
Work closely with Product Managers, customers and engineering teams
Translate product and customer needs into scalable and implementable solutions
Design and document product architecture
Clarify dependencies, feasibility and technical risks before development starts
Ensure requirements are complete, consistent and technically viable
Support estimation and feasibility assessments for new initiatives and customer opportunities
Identify gaps between customer requirements and existing product capabilities
Contribute to customer-facing discussions concerning integrations, solution design and technical capabilities
Ensure that architectural decisions support cybersecurity and product requirements
The position therefore sits directly at the intersection of product strategy, requirements engineering, software architecture and delivery . What you bring We are looking for someone with: Strong understanding of software architecture and software development lifecycles
Experience working closely with software engineering teams
Experience with requirements engineering, business analysis and solution design
The ability to understand complex systems and translate complexity into clear designs
Strong stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills
The independence and curiosity to understand Cubris as a whole – not just one technical component
Experience from railway, transportation, safety-critical or other regulated environments is an advantage. Knowledge of V-models, quality processes and relevant EN/ISO standards is useful, but not a prerequisite. Why Cubris? Because this is an opportunity to influence more than individual solutions.
