Coolskeagh Development Limited trading as Castle Steel, based in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, A75XR57, Ireland is seeking experienced Welder-Fabricators for immediate start at its facility in Castleblayney.

Your tasks

• Operate welding equipment to join metalwork pieces together.
• Use fusion welding processes involving different techniques and materials.
• Carry out simple visual inspections of welds.
• Perform TIG welding and fillet welds.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Wear appropriate protective equipment and follow health and safety standards.
• Smooth burred surfaces and identify metal imperfections.
• Use sheet metal to construct roofs, heating ducts, ventilation ducts, gutters and other metal structures.
• Read plans and determine the type and quantity of materials required.
• Measure, bend, cut, shape and attach metal components to create the required structures.
• Understand welding techniques, torch temperatures, metal thermal conductivity and fuel gas.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of relevant experience as a Welder-Fabricator.
• Experience in TIG welding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience in metal fabrication and joining.
• Ability to work safely with welding equipment and metalworking tools.
• Knowledge of welding processes and different metal materials.

Working hours: 39 hours per week Salary advertised: €36,605 per annum
