Security Officer- Retail Loss Prevention
Your tasks
This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in retail security or loss prevention who are confident working in fast-paced retail environments. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, staff, and assets, while delivering a high level of customer service.
Key responsibilities include
- Monitoring CCTV systems and identifying suspicious behaviour
- Conducting regular foot patrols and store checks
- Preventing theft and minimising stock loss
- Responding to incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
- Completing detailed incident reports and maintaining accurate records
- Liaising with store management and law enforcement where required
- Providing a visible security presence to deter anti-social behaviour
- Assisting customers and staff while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in retail security or loss prevention
- Strong knowledge of CCTV systems and reporting procedures
- A valid QLD Security Licence
- Current First Aid certification
- Excellent communication and observation skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
