Business Development — Equity Capital Markets
Responsibilities Originate and source deals — proactively identify and engage issuers, companies, partners, investment banks, exchanges, and distribution platforms to develop new opportunities.
Own external relationships — act as the primary point of contact and trusted counterpart, building and maintaining relationships across issuers, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
Negotiate deals — lead commercial negotiations and structure terms.
Grow and manage the deal pipeline — build a robust origination pipeline, track opportunities from lead through execution, and report on progress and conversion.
Support origination materials — prepare pitches, proposals, and partner-facing materials to win mandates and advance live opportunities.
Monitor the market — track pipeline, market conditions, comparable transactions, and competitor activity to identify and prioritize opportunities.
Coordinate execution — work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to move deals through diligence, documentation, and closing.
Requirements Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business development, equity capital markets (ECM) origination, coverage/relationship management, investment banking, or capital raising.
An established network across VC/PE, investment banking, issuers, and institutional relationships, with the ability to open doors and originate from day one.
A demonstrable track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing deals or mandates.
Strong understanding of the equity capital markets and the mechanics of capital raising (IPOs, follow-on offerings, and related transactions).
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent the firm to senior external counterparts.
A genuine self-starter — comfortable with ambiguity, operating independently, and building a pipeline where none exists.
Familiarity with digital assets, tokenization, or a clear appetite to build expertise in bringing equity capital markets on-chain.
