Quantum Software Manager

Job Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of approximately 5 software engineers and quantum software engineers.

Support the development of research-oriented software and associated workflows.

Work with physicists and mathematicians to develop production-grade software required for running fault-tolerant quantum computing.

Work closely with Atom Computing’s quantum error correction team to understand use cases and deliver software and developer experiences that address the needs of the team.

Experience & Education BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or related field, PhD is a plus.

Experience leading a small engineering team.

5+ years of post-degree experience as a software engineer.

Qualifications Proven track record leading teams to develop and deliver complex software

Strong background in software development, including experience with research-oriented scientific software

A high tolerance for uncertainty and ambiguity

Collaborative mindset and experience working on a multidisciplinary team

Experience with quantum computing and quantum error correction are preferred
