Overview:

AccuWeather is seeking a Chief of Staff / Executive Operations Director for Founder & Executive Chair Dr. Joel N. Myers. This is an intense, in-person, demanding, proactive, and transformational executive role — not a conventional administrative or support position — built to multiply the impact of an active Founder & Executive Chair of a well-known high technology and media company. The role reports solely to Dr. Myers and is accountable to him, while operating with full respect for and support of the CEO’s authority to run the company. You will be working directly with one of the top entrepreneurs in American history, converting his strategic, commercial, marketing, product, and customer insight into focused initiatives and measurable results.

Role:

manage complex, high-volume Executive calendar

manage Executive correspondence and ensure Executive’s time aligns with priorities

assist with meeting preparation including briefings, meeting materials, agenda creation, daily reports, and follow-up actions

proactively keep our CRM current. capture and maintain up-to-date data on key contacts

coordinate domestic and international travel and other calendar activities

lead and develop the executive support team, raising standards, ownership, and continuity

own day-to-day administrative and office operations and project support

assist with strategic projects, initiatives and deliverables on behalf of the Executive Chair, ensuring they are executed effectively and according to schedule

capture, organize, and convert the Executive Chair’s strategic, commercial, marketing, product, and customer insights into prioritized initiatives with clear ownership and follow-through

help connect sales, marketing, product, technology, and customer strategy efforts to strengthen commercialization, pricing, and revenue growth

draft and edit communications on behalf of the Executive Chair, including emails, and presentations, speeches and transcriptions

coordinate with home and personal staff

maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information and matters building trust with Executive Chair, Executive leadership, Board members and key stakeholders

use AI & technology to gain leverage, improve office operations and efficiency and build and lead an AI-enabled operating system for meeting preparation, knowledge capture, project tracking, correspondence, decisions, and follow-up

Qualifications:

10+ years’ experience and success as a Chief of Staff, Executive Operations leader, or senior general-management role in a founder-led, growth-oriented, or commercially demanding environment

extremely organized and with exceptional time management and attention to detail

you’re professional and operate with a high degree of discretion and integrity

excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships internationally and externally

comfortable with AI/technology and can quickly adopt tools like Claude, Chat GPT, google suite, slack, zapier, and more

comfortable with ambiguity and is curious about tech and eager to learn

people you have worked with put you in the top 1% of people they have worked with

executive presence and sound judgment, with the confidence to engage directly with a highly experienced founder

commercial fluency and the ability to connect strategy, sales, marketing, product, and technology

track record of leading or upgrading teams and converting ideas into measurable outcomes

genuinely interested in building a long-term relationship with the Founder, not using the role as a short-term step

comfortable being in the office each day
