DevOps Engineer

Target Audience: Specialized infrastructure engineers with media streaming experience. Job Title: DevOps Engineer – Video & Cloud Infrastructure (m/f/d) Location: Vienna, Austria (Hybrid) The Role Wischool relies on real-time video for remote learning. You will architect the infrastructure that keeps these streams low-latency, secure, and scalable using WebRTC and AWS. Key Responsibilities Video Ops: Deploy and manage WebRTC media servers (e.g., Jitsi, Janus) or manage AWS Kinesis Video Streams .

Kubernetes: Manage our EKS clusters, focusing on auto-scaling stateful video workloads.

Infrastructure as Code: Use Terraform/CloudFormation to manage AWS resources.

Compression: Optimize video pipelines (FFmpeg) for storage efficiency and bandwidth usage.

Requirements 4+ years in DevOps/SRE.

Strong experience with AWS , Docker , and Kubernetes .

Mandatory: Knowledge of video streaming protocols ( WebRTC , HLS, RTP) and codecs.

Salary Information Legal Disclaimer: We offer a premium salary starting at € 75,000 - € 90,000 gross per year . The minimum annual salary according to the IT Collective Agreement (ST2) is approx. € 62,790.
