SECOND MATE

Primarily responsible to the master for ensuring the charts and nautical publications are updated in accordance with the latest notice to mariners, copy of which must be always on board the vessel.

Signs and adheres to the standing orders

Assist in the proper implementation of the sms, and other policies and instructions of the company onboard the vessel.

Performs other duties as may be assigned by master and superior officers.

Specific Duties: Responsible for maintaining and updating of charts and nautical publications Assist in the implementation of navigation procedures during: Entering / leaving port station Achoring Watch keeping During emergencies, in charge of lifeboat/life raft/ rescue boat

Qualifications/Requirements: Atleast MAP or OIC License Holder With Valid DCOC, MARINA License ID
