Refrigeraton Engineering Technician
Job Responsibilities
- Perform installation, inspection, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose faults and identify technical issues in refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, electrical components and control systems.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine system checks, testing and adjustment of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
- Repair or replace defective mechanical and electrical components when necessary.
- Handle refrigerant-related servicing work in accordance with applicable safety procedures and technical requirements.
- Read and understand technical drawings, equipment manuals and service instructions.
- Respond to service calls and provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting.
- Communicate with customers, supervisors and team members regarding equipment conditions, technical issues and recommended repair solutions.
- Maintain proper service and maintenance records and complete assigned work within the required timeframe.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with workplace safety procedures and company standards.
Job Requirements
- Relevant hands-on working experience in air-conditioning and/or refrigeration installation, maintenance and repair is essential.
- Must possess practical troubleshooting experience and be able to independently diagnose and resolve common air-conditioning and refrigeration system faults.
- Good knowledge of refrigeration systems, air-conditioning equipment, electrical components and basic control systems.
- Able to use relevant tools, testing instruments and maintenance equipment.
- Able to communicate effectively in Chinese (Mandarin) to liaise with Chinese-speaking customers, suppliers and team members.
- Basic English communication skills would be an advantage.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a technical team.
- Responsible, safety-conscious and able to handle on-site technical work.
- Willing to travel to different work sites when required.
- Relevant technical certification or qualification in refrigeration, air-conditioning, mechanical or electrical engineering would be an advantage.
