the number one software for qualitative and mixed methods data

We are looking for a Senior SRE/ Senior DevOps Engineer / Senior Platform Engineer (m/f/x) to take ownership of our infrastructure and drive reliability, scalability, and modernization .

Our

platform is AWS-centric (~90%), complemented by 1&1 hosting and a

small on-premise bare-metal setup. The role is hands-on, focused on

resolving infrastructure issues, applying SRE principles, and evolving

toward cloud-native best practices.

Tasks

Own and improve infrastructure across AWS, hosted, and on-prem environments,

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve stability, performance, and security issues,

Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure architectures,

Apply SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, incident management, automation etc.),

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code,

Improve observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) and operational excellence,

Collaborate closely with engineering teams and act as a technical mentor.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles

Strong hands-on experience with AWS and production systems

Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, containers, and Linux

Deep knowledge of SRE principles and operating reliable distributed systems

Proven ability to modernize legacy infrastructure pragmatically and safely

Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Prometheus/Grafana

Understanding of cost optimization and security best practices

Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Go preferred)

Nice to have:

Experience with hybrid or on-premise infrastructure,

Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.).
