Based in London, hybrid working Inside IR35 Length: 3 months initially

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused surveyor with strong Landlord and Tenant expertise to take responsibility for a range of important property transactions, including rent reviews, lease renewals, lease re-gears and new lease agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for tenants across the Council's mixed commercial estate
• Lead on Landlord and Tenant matters, including:
• Rent reviews
• Lease renewals
• Lease re-gears and negotiations
• New lease agreements
• Work closely with legal advisers to progress lease documentation and complete transactions within agreed timescales
• Liaise with finance colleagues to ensure rental income, service charges and other payments are accurately recorded
• Monitor and report on key lease events, including rent reviews, renewals, negotiations and wider estate management activity
• Monitor property income and expenditure budgets, identifying financial risks and opportunities

Key Requirements:

• MRICS qualification as a Chartered Surveyor
• Experience working within a local authority or wider public sector property environment
• Proven experience negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals and new lease transactions
• Experience managing a mixed-use or mixed commercial property portfolio
