Operations Supervisor

Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate employees across different departments, including operations, warehouse, administration and production/support functions.
- Manage staff deployment, daily manpower allocation and work priorities.
- Monitor employee performance, discipline, attendance, productivity and quality of work.
- Assess staff performance and make recommendations on confirmation, retention, reassignment, improvement or termination.
- Assist management with recruitment, interviewing and selection of new employees.
- Train, guide and supervise new and existing employees.
- Ensure employees follow company SOPs, policies, deadlines and management instructions.
- Resolve day-to-day staff and interdepartmental issues.
- Coordinate between departments to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
- Identify manpower shortages, operational problems and areas requiring improvement.
- Implement process and workflow improvements.
- Make routine operational and administrative decisions independently within assigned authority.
- Escalate significant manpower, financial or operational matters to management.
- Prepare staff performance, operational and management reports.
- Support management in planning, cost control and overall company operations.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and follow through until completion.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant supervisory, operations, administration or management experience.
- Strong people-management and leadership skills.
- Able to supervise employees from different departments and backgrounds.
- Confident in making decisions and handling difficult staff situations.
- Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on and willing to be involved in daily operations when required.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in an SME environment where responsibilities may cover multiple functions.
- Candidates with experience in manufacturing, logistics, engineering or similar operational environments will have an advantage.
