Credit Controller

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a successful and established business in Doncaster who are looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a supportive working environment where creating strong relationships, taking ownership and delivering results are valued.

The role:

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day credit control function, helping to maintain strong customer relationships whilst ensuring outstanding payments are collected efficiently and professionally.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the sales ledger and monitoring outstanding customer accounts.
• Proactively chasing overdue payments via telephone and email.
• Building positive customer relationships to resolve invoice queries and payment issues.
• Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts.
• Monitoring aged debt and identifying potential risks.
• Working closely with colleagues across finance and other departments to support cash flow and achieve shared objectives.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, determined approach to collecting outstanding debt.
• Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• The ability to manage your own workload whilst working effectively as part of a team.
• A professional and honest approach when dealing with customers and colleagues.
