Senior AWS Network & Firewall Engineer (L3)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network & Firewall Engineer to design, administer and troubleshoot AWS networking infrastructure, firewall services and enterprise network security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage AWS VPCs, subnets, routing and Transit Gateway (TGW).
• Configure and troubleshoot VPN connectivity and network routing.
• Manage AWS Security Groups and Network ACLs (NACLs).
• Administer and troubleshoot AWS Network Firewall, WAF and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Support ALB, NLB and GWLB services.
• Manage Route 53 and troubleshoot DNS resolution issues.
• Support and troubleshoot Squid proxy services.
• Perform advanced L3 network and firewall troubleshooting.
• Review firewall policies, security rules and network configurations.
• Lead root cause analysis for complex network incidents.
• Implement network optimisation and approved security changes.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of overall relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years in Network & Security, including AWS networking and firewall technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with VPC, subnets, routing, TGW and VPN.
• Experience with AWS Network Firewall, WAF, Security Groups and NACLs.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Squid proxy.
• Knowledge of ALB, NLB, GWLB and Route 53.
• Strong L3 network troubleshooting and security policy management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty certification required.
