- Carry out drawing and working closely on construction plans with clients, architects and other professionals
- Monitoring installation works on site
- Working out the loads and stresses on different parts of a structure
- Inspecting unsafe buildings and recommending options for repairs or demolition
- Effective communication and co-cordination between project participants
- Making sure that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements
- Giving progress reports to clients and senior managers
- Resolving site technical issues
- Performance of other duties or tasks as assigned by immediate superior
