About the company

We are looking for a motivated Junior IT Operations Engineer to support the day-to-day running of the company's applications and IT systems. This role will involve monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, supporting application changes and working with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical problems.

Your tasks

• Monitor applications, systems and scheduled jobs to ensure they run smoothly, investigating and escalating issues when required.
• Troubleshoot application and system issues, review logs and assist with incident resolution.
• Support application deployments, updates, testing and changes across different environments.
• Assist with routine IT operations, including system configurations, access management, patching and operational checks.
• Work with internal IT teams, business users and external vendors to resolve technical issues and support service requests.
• Perform basic scripting and automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation, operating procedures and records of system changes.
• Follow IT security policies, change management processes and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Up to 2 years of experience in IT operations, application support, systems administration or a related role. Fresh graduates with relevant internship, academic or personal project experience are welcome.
• Basic understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, networking and databases.
• Familiarity with SQL, Git or scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python or Bash is advantageous.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, application monitoring or deployment tools is a plus.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to investigate issues and learn new technologies.
• Good communication, organisational and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within a hands-on IT operations environment.
