Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist

Position Summary

LBAPS is seeking a highly organized and proactive Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage our recruiting process from job posting through candidate screening. This role is responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring qualified candidates move efficiently through the hiring pipeline while creating a positive candidate experience.

The ideal candidate has experience using modern ATS platforms, developing effective screening questions, optimizing recruiting workflows, and partnering with hiring managers to identify top talent.

Responsibilities

Recruiting & Candidate Management

Manage the full recruiting workflow within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

Review and screen incoming resumes against position requirements

Conduct initial phone screens to assess qualifications, experience, and culture fit

Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers

Maintain timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process

Ensure all applicant records are accurate, complete, and compliant

ATS Administration

Configure and maintain job postings within the ATS

Develop and optimize knockout questions, screening questionnaires, and application forms

Create automated workflows to improve recruiting efficiency

Monitor candidate pipelines and ensure timely movement through hiring stages

Generate recruiting reports and hiring metrics

Recommend improvements to ATS processes and recruiting workflows

Talent Acquisition

Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs

Develop effective job postings that attract qualified candidates

Source candidates through job boards, professional networks, and other recruiting channels

Build talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill positions

Ensure a positive candidate experience from application through onboarding

Administrative Support

Schedule interviews and hiring meetings

Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation

Assist with new hire paperwork and pre-employment requirements

Maintain confidentiality of applicant and employee information

Qualifications

Required

2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience

Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

Strong resume screening and interviewing skills

Excellent verbal and written communication

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Preferred

Experience configuring ATS workflows, screening questions, and application forms

Experience recruiting healthcare professionals or clinical staff

Knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices

Experience with recruiting metrics and reporting

HR or Talent Acquisition certification is a plus

Experience administering an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) such as BambooHR, Greenhouse, Workable, Lever, iCIMS, JazzHR, or similar.

Experience creating pre-screening questions and automated candidate workflows.

Demonstrated ability to screen high volumes of resumes and prioritize qualified candidates.

Experience recruiting for healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-state organizations preferred.
