React JS Developer(For DBS Via IBM)

Role: Senior Associate / Associate – React JS Frontend Developer Department: Consumer Banking Group / Institutional Banking Technology Location: Singapore (DBS Asia Hub, Changi Business Park) Employment Type: Contract for 12 months(Renewable) About the Role DBS Bank is seeking a Frontend Developer specializing in React.js to build modern, responsive, and secure web applications across our digital banking platforms. In this role, you will collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers to develop component-based, scalable web applications that power digital banking features for millions of users across Asia. Key Responsibilities Frontend Architecture & Engineering: Design and build high-performance, accessible web components using React.js (18+) , TypeScript , and modern JavaScript (ES6+).

State Management & Modular UI: Manage complex application state using Redux Toolkit or Context API, and work with Micro-Frontend (MFE) architectures using Module Federation.

API Integration: Connect web platforms to backend enterprise microservices via RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

Performance & Optimization: Monitor and optimize web apps for maximum speed, responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and search/SEO standards.

Security & Compliance: Ensure code meets enterprise security standards including OWASP Top 10 web vulnerabilities, XSS/CSRF mitigations, content security policies (CSP), and secure authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0/OIDC).

Quality & Testing: Write unit and end-to-end automated UI tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress; maintain code coverage and lead peer code reviews.

Agile Collaboration: Partner closely with business stakeholders, product leads, and UI/UX teams (via Figma) within an Agile/Scrum continuous delivery model.

Requirements & Qualifications Requirement Details Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields. Experience 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in modern frontend development, with primary focus on React.js and TypeScript. Core Tech Stack React 18+, TypeScript, ES6+, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, Redux / Context API, Next.js. Testing & Tools Jest, React Testing Library, Webpack, Vite, Git, npm/Yarn, Chrome DevTools. CI/CD & DevOps Jenkins, Bitbucket/GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Docker. Nice to Have Experience in Banking/Fintech domain, Micro-Frontend Architecture (MFE), WebSockets, or UI Design System development.
