IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the RAPID MISSION INTEGRATION & INTEROPABILITY DEPARTMENT (MX), EXPEDITIONARY C3 & CYBER DIVISION (MXL) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This is a Capped position; therefore, salary may be limited to GS-13, Step 10 (currently $138,370).

Major duties

• You will execute all cybersecurity controls for a containerized software development environment and oversee cyber test and integration to support RMF or RAISE 2.0 requirements for an Authority to Operate.
• You will generate maintain and execute cybersecurity process documentation per the Security Classification Guide and produce required RMF and RAISE 2.0 compliance artifacts.
• You will serve as the Information System Security Officer and regularly communicate with the Marine Corps ISSM on all cybersecurity matters for the Communications Planning Tool project.
• You will identify system vulnerabilities perform compliance assessments against DoD STIGs and develop manage Plans of Action and Milestones and security artifacts in support of ISSMs.
• You will apply in depth knowledge of DoD Information Assurance policies RMF STIGs and RAISE 2.0 to Microsoft Windows Server and containerized software environments.
• You will use modern software development platforms such as Jira and GitLab along with enterprise productivity tools to document issues track tasks and collaborate with development teams.
• You will operate independently provide technical leadership and communicate effectively with all levels of command and sponsor leadership to deliver mission ready cybersecurity products on time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) in-depth technical knowledge of DoD Information Assurance policies, Risk Management Framework (RMF), RAISE 2.0, and DoD STIGs applied to Microsoft Windows/Server and containerized software development environments; (2) experience identifying system vulnerabilities, executing compliance assessments, and developing/managing POA&Ms and security artifacts in support of ISSMs (to include eMASS and Marine Corps ATO processes); (3) familiarity with Defense Acquisition lifecycle processes across Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, Configuration Management, and Test & Evaluation; (4) proficiency using modern software development management platforms (e.g., Jira, GitLab) and enterprise productivity suites; and (5) the ability to operate independently as a Cyber Integration Lead/ISSO, lead technical cybersecurity efforts, and communicate effectively across all levels of command and sponsor leadership in support of ATO awards for delivered software products.
