Mechanical Drafter

Create detailed mechanical drawings and technical specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software and manual drafting techniques

Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop accurate representations of mechanical components and assemblies

Review and interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and blueprints to produce comprehensive working drawings

Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and company specifications

Modify and update existing designs based on feedback from engineering teams and production departments

Maintain detailed records of all drawings and design revisions for documentation and quality assurance purposes

Communicate with production teams to resolve design-related issues and optimise manufacturing efficiency

Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar platforms) with demonstrated experience in mechanical design

Strong understanding of mechanical principles, engineering practices, and manufacturing processes

Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings to precise specifications

Knowledge of industry standards and technical drawing conventions (such as ISO or equivalent standards)

Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and production teams in a fast-paced environment

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

A relevant qualification in mechanical drafting, engineering, or related field is preferred
