Accountabilities: The Senior Director, Innovative Mobility will lead the strategy, execution, and growth of innovative mobility initiatives focused on accelerating zero-emission transportation solutions. This role requires strong leadership across programs, partnerships, policy engagement, and organizational development. Key responsibilities include:

Develop and execute the Innovative Mobility initiative strategy, operational plans, annual goals, KPIs, OKRs, and performance reviews.

Align program priorities with organizational objectives, market trends, funding opportunities, and stakeholder needs.

Lead the development and implementation of emerging mobility solutions across personal mobility, last-mile delivery, and school mobility.

Identify and address industry challenges related to funding, infrastructure readiness, community engagement, and technology deployment.

Provide executive oversight for major programs, ensuring successful delivery of scopes, budgets, timelines, and measurable outcomes.

Guide the development of technical assistance strategies, mobility assessments, curb management approaches, and multimodal transportation solutions.

Collaborate with policy teams, industry stakeholders, and government agencies to support regulatory frameworks and accelerate mobility innovation.

Represent the organization at conferences, public forums, industry events, and technical discussions as a subject matter expert.

Support business development efforts by identifying funding opportunities, developing partnerships, and engaging with potential funders.

Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, transit agencies, school districts, technology providers, mobility operators, utilities, public agencies, and other strategic partners.

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and equity.

Ensure effective coordination across regional teams, initiative groups, and the broader mobility ecosystem.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a strategic mobility leader with extensive experience managing complex transportation initiatives and building partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups. They should bring a strong understanding of clean transportation, emerging mobility technologies, and community-centered program design. Required qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning, Environmental Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

10+ years of experience in innovative mobility, shared mobility, transportation planning, fleet electrification, or related clean transportation sectors.

7+ years of experience managing programs and projects with multiple stakeholders and complex operational requirements.

5+ years of experience in business development, partnership cultivation, or strategic relationship management.

Proven experience leading teams, managing direct reports, and developing talent.

Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale initiatives involving public agencies, community organizations, technology providers, and private-sector partners.

Strong understanding of policy, regulatory, and market factors influencing zero-emission mobility deployment.

Experience developing strategies that combine technical innovation with community needs and equitable access goals.

Exceptional strategic thinking, operational planning, and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to translate complex mobility challenges into actionable programs and implementation strategies.

Strong written, verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Familiarity with mobility modeling, business case analysis, and transportation performance assessment is preferred.
