Accountabilities: Provide leadership and support to frontline counselling and support teams, ensuring performance aligns with organizational values, service standards, and key performance indicators.

Manage employee performance through regular coaching, supervision sessions, evaluations, performance improvement plans, and documentation.

Assess team capabilities and service quality in collaboration with clinical operations, quality assurance, workforce, and HR teams.

Support employee development, career growth, engagement, retention, and overall workplace well-being.

Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, accountability, and collaboration while embedding organizational values and equity-focused practices.

Support recruitment, onboarding, accommodations, leave management, and workforce planning initiatives for frontline teams.

Develop strategies that support employee wellness and help reduce empathic strain in high-impact service environments.

Maintain effective communication across teams through meetings, updates, newsletters, and engagement initiatives.

Collaborate with HR and inclusion teams to strengthen diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility practices.

Lead or contribute to projects, policies, and operational improvements that enhance frontline service delivery.

Identify operational risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support change management initiatives.

Maintain strong relationships with internal partners and union representatives while supporting collective agreement implementation.

Provide bilingual support strategies and promote consistency across frontline operations.

Requirements:

Degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, Sexology, or a related discipline.

2–4 years of supervisory or people performance management experience in a clinical or healthcare-related environment.

Experience in mental health services, crisis intervention, counselling, helpline environments, or social services is strongly preferred.

Strong English and French oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams while creating collaborative and supportive environments.

Experience managing performance, coaching employees, and supporting professional growth.

Strong decision-making skills with the ability to assess situations and act effectively in complex environments.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Strong communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building abilities.

Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a changing operational environment.

Understanding of ethical practices and commitment to delivering services aligned with organizational values.

Ability to work remotely with reliable internet, telephone access, and a confidential workspace.

Availability to work evening and weekend shifts within a 24/7 operational schedule.

Ability to complete required background screening and travel to offices when needed.
