Grandgården Mat og Vinhus is moving into beautiful new premises and opening Grand Café Tønsberg on 4 November! Located in a historic building in the city centre, the new restaurant will bring a European grand café atmosphere to life, with freshly prepared food, delicious tapas, great wines and warm hospitality.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate chef to join the kitchen team for a full-time assignment from 1 November to 19 December 2026.

This is a great opportunity to become part of a restaurant's exciting opening period, work alongside a dedicated team and showcase your culinary skills.

There may also be opportunities to continue after December for the right candidate!

🔥 What You'll Be Doing

Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes using fresh ingredients. Working with a varied menu featuring lunch dishes, tapas and European-inspired cuisine. Ensuring consistent food quality, presentation and efficient service. Supporting the kitchen team during busy services and events.

Maintaining excellent hygiene, organisation and food safety standards.

Contributing to a positive, professional and enjoyable kitchen environment.

👨‍🍳 Who We're Looking For

An experienced chef with a culinary qualification or solid professional kitchen experience. Someone who genuinely enjoys cooking and takes pride in their work. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Organised, reliable and able to handle a busy kitchen. A positive attitude and good communication skills. Flexibility to work daytime, evening and weekend shifts. Available full-time throughout the assignment period.

100% full-time assignment from 1 November to 19 December 2026. Varied working hours. But kitchen closes at 21, so you are done by 21.30.
