What You’ll Do:

The Risk Surveyor & Inspector is responsible for conducting detailed commercial risk assessments and inspections on behalf of Fraser Fontaine & Kong (FFK) and its insurer partners.  The major functions are:

✔  Risk Surveys & Inspections

✔  Risk Analysis & Reporting

✔  Client Advisory & Risk Improvement

✔  Underwriting & Insurance Support

✔  Compliance & Industry Standards

What You Bring:

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Insurance, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related field would be considered a strong asset.

Certificate or Diploma in Risk Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Construction Management, Fire Safety, Insurance, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.

Professional certification in risk management, safety, loss prevention, insurance, or a related field.

Relevant certifications may include:

Associate in Risk Management (ARM)

Certified Risk Manager (CRM)

NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma

IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent

Occupational Safety & Health certifications recognized in Jamaica

Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications

Insurance Institute of Jamaica (IIJ) qualifications

Other equivalent risk management, engineering, safety, or insurance certifications

Minimum of three (3) years' experience conducting commercial risk surveys, inspections, loss control assessments, safety audits, or related risk management activities.

Experience assessing hotels, manufacturing plants, warehouses, commercial facilities, office complexes, and SMEs.

Experience within the insurance, engineering, occupational safety, construction, manufacturing, hospitality, or risk management sectors is highly desirable.

Experience preparing technical reports and presenting findings to clients and insurers.

Familiarity with commercial property, liability, business interruption, and catastrophe risk exposures is preferred.

Familiarity with business interruption, operational risk, and catastrophe exposures.

Ability to interpret site plans, engineering reports, and technical documentation.

Strong report writing and analytical skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
