THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it
As a Staff Endpoint Platform Engineer, you are the technical anchor of our endpoint fleet strategy — responsible for setting the course for how FanDuel manages, automates, and secures its device fleet at scale. You own the architecture. You drive the roadmap. You define what "secure and well-managed" means across macOS, iOS, Android, and Windows — and you build the systems, patterns, and standards that make it durable long after you've moved on to the next problem.
This isn't an execution-only role. You'll partner across Security, Enterprise Technology, and more to translate complex, ambiguous operational challenges into coherent platform solutions — and you'll mentor the engineers around you to do the same. You bring deep craft, organizational influence, and a bias toward solving problems permanently rather than repeatedly.
You will report to the Sr. Manager of Cyber Defense Engineering.
In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
Define and own the multi-year technical strategy for FanDuel's global endpoint fleet — establishing engineering principles and reusable configuration patterns that set the standard for how our team builds and operates.
Architect and drive delivery of scalable, secure-by-default device baselines across macOS, iOS, Android, and Windows — ensuring every device in the fleet is compliant, performant, and trusted from zero-touch provisioning through offboarding.
Lead the design and implementation of GitOps-driven endpoint configuration management and CI/CD validation pipelines — ensuring platform changes are peer-reviewed, auditable, and resistant to configuration drift.
Define the KPIs that matter — provisioning speed, compliance drift, patch latency, device trust posture — and build the telemetry and automation to track, report on, and continuously improve them.
Mentor and develop engineers on the team by modeling technical excellence, providing thoughtful feedback, and investing in their craft.
Proactively identify platform risks, technical debt, and emerging opportunities — and intervene when work is off-course to change direction before it becomes a bigger problem.
Use AI as a force multiplier — for automation, operational efficiency, and engineering quality — across everything you do.
Support the security organization as necessary. Anything is possible when we operate as one team.
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
Extensive hands-on experience architecting, designing, and managing large-scale Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and enterprise MDM platforms at scale — think Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, FleetDM, or equivalent — across multi-OS enterprise environments.
Proven track record owning a platform strategy end-to-end — defining the roadmap, building alignment, navigating tradeoffs, and delivering durable outcomes across organizational boundaries.
Strong automation and platform engineering depth — proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, and/or Python
Hands-on experience deploying Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent) and GitOps workflows in production.
Deep understanding of endpoint and mobile security ecosystems across iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows —Microsoft MAM, Secure Remote Access/Conditional Access approaches, and endpoint protection are a few you can expect to have impact in.
Track record of mentoring and developing engineers — sharing knowledge broadly through documentation, design reviews, and direct coaching; actively participating in hiring and calibration for senior roles.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills — you can diagnose a complex fleet issue, translate the fix to non-technical stakeholders, and write the architecture doc that prevents the next one.
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments — able to set direction with incomplete information, raise blockers early, and drive to decisions even when consensus is hard.
