Veterinary Nursing Assistant Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Center (EPVMC) - Neurology Department

What started as a commitment to emergency medicine has grown into a collaborative specialty hospital where doctors, technicians, assistants, and client care teams work together to support patients with complex medical needs, At EPVMC, we view our assistants as vital members of the medical team whose support helps ensure patients receive timely and compassionate care.This position will be an assistant for either the Neurology Department.

What Your Role Will Include

As a Veterinary Nursing Assistant, you will:

  • Assist the veterinary team with patient handling, restraint, and transport throughout the hospital
  • Help prepare treatment areas and equipment for incoming patients

Prepare appointments for doctors of the Neurology department

  • Support technicians and veterinarians during procedures, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Assist with patient care including walking, cleaning, feeding, and comfort monitoring for hospitalized patients
  • Help prepare patients for procedures including positioning, clipping, and basic preparation tasks
  • Maintain clean and organized treatment areas to support efficient workflow
  • Restock medical supplies and ensure treatment spaces remain prepared for incoming patients
  • Assist with basic laboratory sample handling and transport within the hospital
  • Assist during emergencies by supporting technicians and veterinarians as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the hospital information system (EzyVet) as directed by the medical team
  • Support patient comfort, safety, and compassionate care during hospitalization

What We’re Looking For

  • 1-2 Year of general practice experience, shelter medicine or equivalent role
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-acuity situations
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a highly specialized department

Pay Rate : Starting at $18 - $22.00/hr
