Job Summary

The Demand & Supply Planning Associate supports demand forecasting, supply coordination, and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and uninterrupted operational flow. The role works directly and closely with the Demand Planning Officer to align forecasts, supply plans, and inventory strategies with business objectives and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Demand Planning & Forecasting

Directly collaborate with the Demand Planning Officer in developing, reviewing, and refining demand forecasts.

Support demand forecasting and inventory planning activities using historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality.

Assist in monitoring forecast accuracy and recommend adjustments as necessary.

Provide data analysis and reports to support forecasting decisions.

  1. Inventory Management

Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking, stockouts, and slow-moving or obsolete inventory.

Maintain optimal safety stock levels and reorder points based on demand forecasts and lead times.

Conduct regular inventory reviews and reconciliation with warehouse records.

Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure system accuracy.

Analyze inventory turnover and recommend improvements to optimize working capital.

Ensure timely replenishment planning to support operational continuity.

Supply & Procurement Coordination

Prepare and process Purchase Requests based on approved demand plans and inventory requirements.

Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to track purchase orders and delivery timelines.

Work closely with the Demand Planning Officer to align supply plans with forecasted emand and operational capacity.

Support production and replenishment scheduling activities.

  1. Systems & Reporting

Maintain and update planning databases, ERP systems, and inventory management systems.

Generate weekly and monthly reports on inventory levels, supply status, and forecast performance.

Provide data-driven insights to assist management decision-making.

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment of demand and supply plans.

Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities when required.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Demand Planning Officer or immediate supervisor.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or other related business courses.

Preferably with experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.

Experience working closely with planning or operations is an advantage.

Strong analytical and inventory management skills.

Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis).

Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Detail-oriented with strong numerical accuracy.

Good time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
