Salary: £39,959 - £48,117 per annum Contract: 3-month temporary contract with a view to becoming permanent Hours: Full-time Location: Hybrid

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading procurement activities across a diverse portfolio of goods and services, ensuring value for money and compliance with public sector procurement regulations
  • Managing procurement workplans, quotations, tenders, contract awards and supplier negotiations
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and key partners
  • Identifying and delivering cost reduction opportunities, service improvements and procurement efficiencies
  • Analysing spend data and producing recommendations to support strategic procurement decisions
  • Supporting and mentoring procurement colleagues, promoting best practice and continuous improvement
  • Managing supplier performance and contract reviews to ensure optimal service delivery and commercial outcomes
  • Providing procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders on sourcing strategies, contracts and procurement processes

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant procurement experience within a public sector or highly regulated environment
  • A CIPS Level 4 qualification or equivalent procurement experience
  • Proven experience of tendering, contract management and supplier negotiations
  • Strong knowledge of public sector procurement legislation and procurement best practice
  • Experience identifying and delivering cost-saving initiatives through spend analysis and strategic sourcing
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and drive continuous improvement
