Position Overview: The Quality Technician is a hands-on inspection role focused on the parts and components that go into our machines — both during manufacturing and as spare and break-fix parts shipped to machines in the field. You'll be the last line of defense ensuring that nonconforming parts don't make it into a build or out to a customer site, and that known quality issues are actively screened before anything ships.

Job Responsibilities Incoming Parts Inspection

Perform detailed incoming inspection of mechanical and electromechanical parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements

Verify dimensions, material, finish, and workmanship using standard hand measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Identify and document nonconformances; initiate NCRs and work with procurement and suppliers to disposition discrepant material

Maintain accurate receiving inspection records and support supplier quality tracking

Spare & Field Replacement Parts

Inspect spare parts and break-fix components prior to shipment to field machines, ensuring they meet drawing requirements and are free of known defect conditions

Cross-reference historical quality issues and active quality alerts to screen outgoing field parts for previously identified failure modes

Package and label inspected parts in accordance with internal standards; maintain traceability documentation

Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement

Maintain inspection records, nonconformance logs, and calibration documentation in support of the QMS

Flag recurring defect trends and contribute to root cause and corrective action (RCCA) efforts

Support the development and upkeep of quality alerts and lessons-learned documentation to prevent repeat escapes to the field

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in quality inspection or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings

Proficiency with standard hand measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related equipment

Experience inspecting both mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies

Strong attention to detail with the ability to document findings clearly and completely

Comfortable working in a production floor environment
