Role Summary

As a Design Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work within the Hardware, Firmware, and Software Design team. This will be a hands-on position to support all design validation and reliability aspects of design, development, and transfer to manufacturing. You will drive system validation activities for new product development, verify design changes for existing products, resolve technical issues related to the manufacturing process, and perform failure analysis on field returned products.

Responsibilities

Passionate about user experience and deeply committed to delivering intuitive, high-quality UX.

Develop and review the quality test plan for design validation and EVT/DVT/PVT builds.

Execute tests according to test plans to generate test reports during EVT/DVT builds.

Try to reproduce the customer’s issues and record the results for RD analysis

Develop an automatic test bench for long-time stress testing.

Develop and maintain test environments to ensure sufficient test coverage and speed up testing.

Design test methodology and coverage to assure reliability

Develop, maintain, and execute black-box and white-box test cases.

Track the progress of issue resolution and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions

Requirement

BS in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or any other related fields)

3-5 years of working experience in the hardware test or design quality test field

Familiar with reliability testing, compatibility testing, durability testing, and strength testing standards.

Familiar with shell scripts and command lines on Linux or Android.

Active team player, self-starter, and multitasker who can quickly adjust priorities

Be able to think outside the box

Be curious about every strange thing

Good documentation skills.

Good communication skills, Ex, negotiation with PM/EE/ME/FW/SW engineers

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hardware testing on POE, wireless, and Li battery-powered devices.

Knowledge of functional block testing, such as audio, display, wireless, and enclosure.

Familiar with 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet compliance test experience

Good understanding of one or more wireless standards: WLAN (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ad), BT, and NFC.

Familiar with IoT products, including sensor technologies and testing methodologies such as motion sensors, accelerometers, temperature and humidity sensors, ambient light sensors, time-of-flight (ToF) sensors, and radar sensors.

Familiar with operating test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
