Major duties

  • You will lead and manage systems engineering and product development activities for Configuration Management (CM).
  • You will administer the CM and Quality Assurance (QA) program for Convential Prompt Strike (CPS) and provides guidance for the development, implementation, and adherence of Configuration Management Plan (CMP) and Quality requirements.
  • You will oversee the management of configuration items, documentation, and processes throughout the CPS Weapon System life-cycle.
  • You will manage the CM and Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes and conducts government CCB meetings on behalf of CCB Chair.
  • You will assure weapon system development activities adhere to best practices and technical requirements documents.
  • You will represent SSP/CPS in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, and consultants to resolve complex and/or controversial issues.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing configuration management (CM) tools, methods, or techniques for design decisions regarding sustainment or operation of a weapon system; and/or Analyzing quality standards to support implementation of Configuration Management (CM) and Quality Assurance (QA) strategies for weapon system program.
