This is a contingent position based on contract win.

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Continuity & Contingency Planning Specialist to work with system owners, cybersecurity teams, infrastructure personnel, and Government stakeholders to ensure critical services remain available during emergencies, outages, cyber incidents, and other disruptive events.

This role is responsible for supporting integration of continuity planning with RMF, continuous monitoring, POA&M management, risk management, contingency planning controls (CP family), and authorization package maintenance. They will also conduct business impact analyses (BIAs), develop contingency planning documentation, coordinate continuity exercises, track corrective actions, and support compliance with Federal continuity and cybersecurity requirements

This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and update Continuity of Operations (COOP) and contingency planning documentation.

Identify critical business functions, dependencies, and recovery priorities.

Ensure continuity requirements are incorporated into cybersecurity and operational planning efforts.

Coordinate continuity planning activities across technical and business stakeholders.

Conduct Business Impact Analyses to identify critical processes, recovery requirements, and operational dependencies.

Assess potential operational impacts of system outages or disruptions.

Document Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).

Develop recommendations to improve organizational resilience and recovery capabilities.

Maintain BIA documentation and supporting analyses.

Develop and maintain:

Information System Contingency Plans (ISCPs)

Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs)

Continuity of Operations Plans (COOPs)

System Recovery Procedures

Emergency Response Procedures

Ensure contingency documentation aligns with Federal requirements.

Plan, coordinate, and document contingency plan testing and continuity exercises.

Support tabletop exercises, recovery testing, and disaster recovery events.

Support NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities related to contingency planning controls.

Assist in developing authorization package artifacts associated with contingency planning requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Information Assurance, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience supporting business continuity, contingency planning, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, or operational resilience programs.

Experience developing and maintaining contingency planning documentation.

Experience conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and recovery planning activities.

Knowledge of:

NIST SP 800-34

NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5

NIST RMF (SP 800-37)

FISMA

Federal continuity planning requirements

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Preferred Qualifications:

One or more of the following certifications:

CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional)

MBCP (Master Business Continuity Professional)

CFCP (Certified Functional Continuity Professional)

CISSP

Security+

CGRC (Certified in Governance, Risk and Compliance)

CAP (Certified Authorization Professional)

Experience supporting Federal civilian agencies.

Experience supporting FISMA-compliant environments.

Familiarity with Federal continuity planning and emergency preparedness requirements.

Experience supporting cybersecurity resilience initiatives.

Knowledge of cloud disaster recovery and continuity planning practices.

Experience participating in continuity exercises and recovery testing programs.

Familiarity with ServiceNow, Archer, eMASS, SharePoint, or similar platforms.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $110K - $140K

The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package.
