*Job Overview*

• The position requires availability to work 8- and 12-hour shifts across all 7 days of the week, with approximately 33?44 hours per week, including weekends and overnight shifts as required*. *

• Responsible for monitoring premises, control access points, and conduct surveillance to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry. patrol. leaks checking, opening gates
• Your keen eye and quick response will be vital in maintaining a secure environment.

*Duties*

• Monitor designated areas, including CCTV surveillance systems, for suspicious activity or security breaches
• Control access for employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by verifying credentials and issuing passes
• Conduct regular site and perimeter patrols
• Monitor the property for theft, vandalism, unauthorized entry, and other security concerns
• Check the site for leaks, hazards, and other potential safety or security issues
• Open and close site gates as required
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies
• Contact and coordinate with emergency responders when necessary
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and access records
• Enforce site security, access control, and safety procedures
• Report suspicious activities, hazards, and security breaches to the appropriate personnel
• Assist with investigations related to security incidents, theft, or property damage when required
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with employees, contractors, visitors, and the public

*Qualifications*

• Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and loss prevention strategies
• Ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts while maintaining professionalism
• Excellent observational skills with a focus on detail-oriented reporting
• Valid Ontario security license
• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit and patrol as necessary
• Must have skills necessary to use a computer and Microsoft programs
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Vehicle is an asset but not required

Pay: From $17.95 per hour

• Secondary School (required)

Experience:

• Ontario Security Guard: 3 years (required)
