The Data Analytics team serves as a strategic capability across Portage Point, enabling business intelligence, operational reporting, workflow automation, enterprise applications and emerging AI initiatives. This team partners with leaders across the firm to deliver scalable technology solutions that improve decision-making, enhance operational efficiency and support continued growth. Data Analytics team members are responsible for supporting and advancing the firm's data, reporting, automation and application development platforms.
The Associate, Data Analytics represents a unique opportunity to assume a wide range of responsibilities and make a significant impact. This Associate will support the infrastructure, deployment, monitoring and operational reliability of Portage Point's enterprise data and analytics platforms. The Associate, Data Analytics will report directly into the local Vice President, Data Analytics and play a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance and scalability of Snowflake, Airflow, Power BI, Azure and application development environments while helping to accelerate delivery through automation and engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
Partner with senior team members, application developers, platform engineers and stakeholders across the firm to implement automation solutions that improve platform reliability, operational efficiency, deployment processes and platform stability
Build, maintain and optimize CI / CD pipelines supporting data and application platforms
Support administration and monitoring of Snowflake environments
Manage Airflow infrastructure and workflow execution environments
Support deployment and operational management of dbt projects
Administer Power BI gateways, refresh schedules, workspace environments and reporting infrastructure
Monitor infrastructure health, availability, security and performance
Support incident management, troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities
Maintain operational documentation, standards and support procedures
Contribute to infrastructure modernization and cloud optimization initiatives
Share and manage best practices as well as lead internal trainings where required
Support talent acquisition and firm development efforts
Contribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive culture
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Mathematics from a top undergraduate program required
Two plus years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering or infrastructure operations
Advanced experience with GitHub, including version control, repository management, branching strategies, pull request reviews, GitHub Actions and collaborative software development practices across application, data and analytics projects
Comfortable utilizing AI-powered development and operational tools to improve automation, infrastructure management, troubleshooting and engineering efficiency
Experience supporting both Azure cloud environments and Airflow orchestration environments
Familiarity with Snowflake administration and platform operations
Experience supporting dbt deployment processes and CI / CD pipelines
Experience administering or supporting Power BI environments, enterprise data platforms and analytics environments
Familiarity with containerized technologies and modern deployment frameworks
Strong scripting skills using Python, PowerShell and / or Bash
Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security and monitoring concepts
Exposure to AI-enabled solutions and automation technologies
Superior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting skills
Proven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teams
High attention to detail, responsiveness and ownership mindset
Track record of success in high-pressure
